Get answers to common questions about Neck Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free necks for about three to six weeks. Hair growth varies by person, hormone levels, and prior hair removal methods. Regular waxing typically slows regrowth and produces finer, softer hair over time.
Some sensitivity is normal, especially on first treatments. Our estheticians use calming techniques, quality wax, and pre-treatment care to reduce pain. Numbing creams can be applied if needed; breathing and relaxation help, and discomfort typically subsides quickly after treatment.
Avoid exfoliating 24 to 48 hours before and come with clean, dry skin. Hair should be about a quarter-inch long for best results. Avoid sunburn, active tanning, and strong retinoids to minimize irritation.
Mild redness or bumps are common but usually resolve within a day or two. To prevent ingrown hairs, exfoliate gently after 48 hours and use soothing serums or oils. If persistent inflammation or infection occurs, contact us for professional care.
Schedule maintenance every three to six weeks depending on your hair growth rate. We recommend tracking regrowth and booking when stubble appears to maintain smoothness and make each session quicker and more comfortable.
Contraindications include sunburn, active skin infections, open wounds, recent chemical peels, isotretinoin use within six months, or severe rosacea. Inform us about medications, allergies, or medical conditions so we can advise or provide alternative hair removal.
